Methanolic Extract of Rhinella marina Poison: Chemical Composition, Antioxidant and Immunomodulatory Activities

This study investigated the chemical composition, immunomodulatory and antioxidant activities, histopathological analysis of mice tissues treated with methanolic extract from R. marina poison. Marinobufagin, telecinobufagin bufalin were identified in profile. The biochemical results demonstrated an effect between doses period 7 days, was observed regarding production capacity interleukin (IL)-12p70 tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α at 30 respectively. lower dose suggests better bioactivity to animal than higher dose. Histopathological analyses lung, heart, kidney liver showed tissue damage all organs, mainly proportional treatment period. We that modulated cytokine production, therefore this may be related observed. demonstrates a positive immune system, indicating molecules found have biotechnological potential.
